Was shooting some landscapes at Joshua Tree National Park and when finished I turned around to get into the car and there was the most beautiful light. There is something special about desert light as it is so clear and smog free. When the sun goes down in most places it gets dark really fast, but in the desert it just seems to hang in twilight glow for what seems like ages. So turned my camera around and shot a time exposure with the head and tail lights on.

It was a beautiful still evening and I could hear the coyotes crying in the distance. We are so fortunate to have places near Los Angeles where you can really get away from the noise and hustle and just be still and quiet with your thoughts.

Used a Nikon D100 for this shot and converted to sepia in Photoshop.
