Curious

I know there are a few greyhound lovers out there. Here is our Brandee looking curious. She raced at 3 tracks in the United States before finishing her career at the Caliente track in Tijuana, Mexico. Used a Nikon D3 body, 85mm f/1.4 lens, and colorized the image with Adobe Lightroom.

Beach Ball

Giant beach ball art installation on the boardwalk in Virginia beach, Virginia. Used a Linhof 612PC panoramic camera, Fuji transparency film, and scanned with a Nikon Coolscan 9000. The transparency is 6×12cm but the largest the scanner will hold is 6×9cm so I scanned each end and used the “photomerge” tool in Photoshop to bring the two pieces together into one image.

Pastor Steve Mays teaching at Calvary Chapel South Bay. Used a Nikon D3 with a 80-200mm lens and a very high ISO of 2500. This image has been cropped substantially and I’m still amazed at the clean file quality of that camera with low light levels and high ISO’s.

Footprints

Footprints in dried and cracked mud. Used a Linhof 4×5 view camera and Ascor strobe in a large light box low to the ground to rake light across the surface to bring definition to the sunken footprints.

Mojave Desert Dust Storm

This is a dust storm during sunset in the Mojave Desert in southern California. It’s hard to see in this small of a picture but those are giant power lines on the horizon. Used a Nikon F4 film camera, 300mm lens, Fuji transparency film, and Nikon Coolscan 9000 for the photograph.

Fire Sale

Model homes on hill while fire burns on mountain above. There have been numerous fires in that area of Porter Ranch/Northridge/Chatsworth, California but they still keep building houses in the burn areas. Photographed with a Nikon D100 and 300mm lens.
