The Desert Dancers

Call me weird, but in my imagination these trees seemed like dancers on the desert floor. Used a Nikon D3 with a Nikon 35-70mm f/2.8 lens at 35mm and processed with Adobe Lightroom. Was photographed at Joshua Tree National Park.

Diana the Huntress

I don’t normally go in for the misty desaturated look but it seemed to work on this image because it was so problematic exposure wise without being able to set up some lights or wait until a different time of day. I shot the statue from close up and from a distance in this version and usually waited until no people were in the view. But when this couple stepped in and the guy stood in such a unique manner I couldn’t resist. Used a Nikon D3 and 80-200mm f/2.8 lens at 200mm and processed heavily in Adobe Lightroom 2.

Joshua Tree Rocks

Sun was going down quickly and casting long shadows. The rock in the foreground shadow reminded me of a whales back. Used a Nikon D3 and 14-24mm lens and processed in Lightroom and Photoshop.
