Sunfish (revisited)

My memory is kind of hazy on where I took this shot but believe it to be Portland, Maine. Taken in the early 80′s with a Nikon F2 Photomic film camera and scanned from a 35mm Kodachrome slide with a Nikon Coolscan 9000.

It was a hazy overcast day so the slide lacked much color or contrast and had a blueish tone to it. To warm it up and give it a vintage feel I imported the image into Adobe Lightroom and used a custom preset called “winter” that another photographer graciously let me download. Next I did some work with it in Photoshop with the HDR settings, saturation, and finally tilt shift to put the focus more on the boy in the sailboat.
