Pentecostal Church # 7

This is at a small Pentecostal Church in Dundalk, Maryland. I was traveling with my father-in-law visiting a friend of his, and this person after finding out I was a photographer invited us to his church to take pictures. I think somehow he thought they would end up published in the Baltimore newspaper the next morning although I had no connections there. I made a few prints when I got home and they sat in a box for 33 years and so this is one of them here for the first time. This photograph here is of a man reaching out his hands praying for two other men. Used a 35mm Nikon F2 Photomic body, shot on Kodak Tri-X film and scanned from a print with an Epson scanner.

Although I don’t remember his name this is a picture of the man who invited me as he sat quietly in the church. He was a waterman who fished for blue crabs on the Chesapeake Bay and surrounding waters for a living. Used a 105mm lens on a 35mm Nikon F2 Photomic body, shot on Kodak Tri-X film and this is a scan from a print.
