Was recently in Chicago for work and while doing some sightseeing at the Navy Pier I took this photograph of a portion of the Chicago skyline. Used a Leica D-Lux 6 to take the photograph.
Saw this man leaning against the building at the Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles.
Photograph of view from Griffith Observatory to downtown Los Angeles, California on an overcast day. When standing there I couldn’t help being reminded of the Wizard Of Oz movie and could almost imagine the flying monkeys taking off from the witches castle with the city of Oz in the background. Took this with my iPhone and the “Hipstamatic” app and camera settings were Lens:Loftus…Film:DC…Flash:None. Did additional photo processing with “Dynamic Light” app and finished it off with Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
Photographed this church steeple reflecting in the window of an office building in downtown Norfolk, Virginia with a 35mm Nikon F2 Photomic body and a 105mm lens.
City Hall entry in downtown Los Angeles, California. Used a Nikon D100 and 12-24mm lens at 12mm and convertd to black and white in Adobe Lightroom.
Nothing special, just the view of downtown San Jose from my hotel window. In the center is Adobe headquarters from whom we have to thank for Photoshop. Used a Nikon D2x and 17-55mm lens and did perspective correction in Photoshop to straighten out the tilt in the buildings because of using a wide angle lens.
Was picking up someone from Union Station in downtown Los Angeles and thought it would be a good time to take a few pictures while I was waiting for their train to arrive. First let me say that it is a beautiful old facility and worth a trip just to see it if you have never been there. They just don’t make public buildings like this anymore. Used a Nikon D3 camera body for this photograph.
